Art School Educational Offer

Find Art Schools in Your Area...

There are different education offers in visual arts. These are:

College/University

Colleges and universities offer the students a wide variety of courses in addition to art. The typical length of this program is four years. The university requires the student to complete the coursework in liberal arts outside of their major field of study, which is often in the typical areas of Science, Humanities, English, and History. But you may not choose your art major until you have reached your sophomore or junior year. The university does this, because the studies which are not focused on art may inspire your artwork, it turns you on to a second major of study, or it can cause you to reconsider your art focus. The degree which the student can receive ranges from a Bachelor’s Degree to a Doctorate (Ph.D.) Degree.

Four-Year Art-focused Schools

The programs of these schools are more focused on liberal art than the program on a college or university. They offer many different courses, which are all related to arts. The programs take four years and are available on the Bachelor-, Master- and Doctorate level.

Community Colleges

A community college is an affordable way to study in the art-focused fields. They are designed to meet the needs of students who are just starting their post-high school education, who want to supplement a prior degree, and for people who have already start working, but who are looking for a part-time study. A community college generally offers a two-year degrees in the form of associate's degrees or certification.

Workshops & Special Programs

If you just would like to brush up on your art techniques, you can do an art workshop or a special art program. These programs are for people who are not interested in earning a degree, but who like to learn more about the art techniques.
